Strengths: options to scale, starting from low cost, prefesional tools avaiable
Weaknesses: I don't know which is the scalability capacity, maybe more context explanation in support answers
Details: Perfect cost-benefit for me. It let me apply my expertise about java ee knowledge and linux, becouse they provide a way to take benefit from tomcat or jboss and direct console access using ssh, and starting from a very attractive prices, what let me start kepping low cost,a and get more as I being growing. When I ask for support, I get a reasonable answer in a useful time frame.

Details: After an year, I'm totally pleased by 4java.ca service. I've a private account, and I defined some web domains for my clients. When I've some question about setup, problems, mistakes (my mistakes) on-line chat customer service helps me without problems, resolving everything with short time. I live and work in Italy, but using 4java.ca services it's better than using my own host!

Details: I've been using 4java for couple of j2ee app and it always been strong. What I really like is the uptime and the really fast response to upgrade or tuning.
You also have a great administration tool for database and subdomains stuff.
I'm very happy with 4java and I know it will respond well as my needs grows

Details: We are coming from a .NET environment and discovering JSP framework. 4Java offered us excellent support, quality and services to help us.
We are using a CASE tool (model driven development) to generate our JSP pages and java sources based on a Model Driven Architecture approach (WebRatio).
We also use the offered CVS to bak up our development.

Details: History: First, I give a domain name and the staff bought for me, one week later I saw this name of domain name they have a trademark on it, I buy another one and the staff make the change and configure the system for two domain names. After, I install a database but I found a better an good one 3 weeks after, the staff help to make the change. I have problem with my web.xml config, the staff found a solution a make the change for me. I did not make deal with other suppliers J2EE and I cannot make comparison and I don't believe that I will seek some elsewhere.

Details: What can I say... I really have no words to describe my pain having hosted with these guys.
Being the optimist I am, I would always say it could be worst...
Well I was right, it did get worst, to the point were my DB was just blown away because under the
"we didn't know you were using it" excuse (come on give me a break!!!) and 5 days later after having
sent email after email during the week, having chatted online (presales told me to "open a ticket", I said another one?, what a joke) nothing....
Never in my live have I encountered a service provider of such low caliber that just ignores emails from customers
and the problems that their pure neglicence and lack of attention to detail cause them.
After being offline for close to a week we have lost 10 paying customers so far because they said
"you should have better hosting" and have had to offer the rest free memberships.
It is just ridiculuous and the anger inside of me is just way too much to express in words.
Honestly, don't know how these people go to bed at night knowing how screwed up a trail they are leaving behind.
I'm starting to think that hosting from my own house is more reliable that these guys have always been,
heck my house server has never gone down...
Finally 24/7 means that the email system works 24/7 and you can get an answer within 24 days or 7 weeks whichever
is sooner, if not later (sarcasm!!).
I'm curious what timezone these guys are in since most of the time when you sleep they might up, otherwise always off!!
