Alentus - downtime and poor service

Details: I would not recommend Alentus after 8 months. There is consistant downtime and very poor customer service. Right now my mail has been down over 20 hours and their answer is they don't know when it will be up or what to do. And to get this much information is very slow.
You can do better - look around the web and you will see the Alentus problems are getting more and more common. This isn't isolated. You can do better and should stay away from Alentus.

Details: Alentus lowered the price of my .NET hosting and INCREASED the number of email accounts, disk space, and bandwidth! Prior to that Alentus was still the best Windows Host around. Alentus Tech Support really helped me when I was having problems with SQL server queries running too long. Everyone (especially Bill) in the support department were extremely helpful with .NET as well.
I have several sites hosted at Alentus and I am currently moving two more over. Alentus has also been very reliable, with no down time and speedy responses.
I was also impressed when one of my sites was mentioned in a radio broadcast and vistor numbers went through the roof. My bandwidth and CPU usage was huge for over a week and Alentus was very helpful and quickly moved my offending site to a server that had just gone on line and did not have many other sites. No pressure to move to a dedicated server plan (which I was expecting). This incident made me a "life long" Alentus fan. They seemed to really care about my business.
I recommend Alentus to anyone who wants a host with integrity, quality, reasonable prices, great support and customer service. A REAL person answers the phone even!!
