Great ASP.Net hosting.

Strengths: No downtime, fast servers and great support.
Weaknesses: Can't think of any.
Details: Been looking for a solid host for our ASP.Net site for some time. We eventually found Protec and have been very happy since signing up with them over a year ago. Support have been extremely helpful at ensuring our application and various 3rd party components where installed and running efficiently.

Great support but low bandwidth

Strengths: Amazing support
Weaknesses: low bandwidth, low disk space
Details: I have used protec for more than 5 year and I had to move all heavy hit websites to another hostings as i can get unlimited bandwidth and large disk space for such sites. For smaller website, protec is great as they have a great support team.
I currently run 4 plans with protec and the bandwidth and disk space provided are still very low compare to the competition.

Strengths: Excellent value, Prompt support if needed. Great feature set. .Net AND Sql No Cost Option!
Weaknesses: Minor limitations with HELM cp,
Details: We used reseller services for several years & became increasingly aggrieved by excessive charges for day to day essentials such as .Net support etc.
Protec solution offers everything we need at far less cost with better support and flexibility.
Since migrating all our hosted sites in December 2004 we've seen 99% uptime with one minor outage of email (server failure) which was promptly fixed.
In summary, good service, good value, good supoort

The best support team

Strengths: 99.9% uptime + top support team
Weaknesses: Slow Servers + limited disk space and bandwidth
Details: The disk space limitation and bandwidth pipes are the biggest weakness of ProtechWeb.co.uk
We have been storing our server with them for over two years. Recently, we had to move to other providers as they are unable to provide us more disk space.

Protec - a breath of fresh air!

Details: Have had reseller hosting account for 4 years + with another host and last 2+ years with a certain company based in Belfast (begins with V!) who were an absolute nightmare. Huge amounts of downtime - attitude to customers was shocking - like they were doing you a favour by letting you host with them, and support staff were downright rude on many an occassion. Caused me many a sleepless night.
Had lots of domains/sites to move so put off moving for a while but did a fair bit of research and Protec stood out a mile in terms of how satisfiled their current customers seem to be. They also answered all my initial questions comprehensively and with no messing around!
Signed up with Protec almost 3 weeks ago and have been busy since transferring sites across. They not only added certain mail components which made the transition much easier for me (for no additional charge) but I've hit them with loads of support questions (I think I may be the bane of their lives at present!!)and they've always responded within minutes and with a helpful and courteous response.
They really are a breathe of fresh air and show what can be done if you really care about customer service and support.

Strengths: Flexible, fully-featured hosting with the BEST support team.
Weaknesses: If they have any, they hide them well.
Details: Previously I was running my own server assuming it would be the easiest, most flexible and best value route. I was wrong. I no longer need to get my hands dirty with the intricacies of running a server and my uptime commitment is one step removed (and improved, incidentally).
I now have measurably more time to spend on what really matters - my customers.
Furthermore, their support exceeds any expectations - not just in speed of response but also in terms of content and approachability.
Not only that, they're not resting on their laurels, their service & features are constantly being improved!
Highly recommended.

Details: I was looking for a host for my web design and internet solutions company for some time and have used a few in the past and Protec is by far the best they have the quickest support response time I have ever seen In the past 6 months I have hosted 4 sites with them with no problems . I would defiantly recommend them

Details: Having used Protecweb for another site I had no worries in using tem again. I originally used the win 2000 account and now use the win 2003 account which is even better.
Protec have the quickest support I have ever experienced and they answer all questions personally and in full.
The packages are great value and have a fantastic range of features.

Details: I have used several UK based hosts in the past three years, namely One & One, Hostway & Donhost. All left a bad taste in my mouth. Through my experience with Protec i can honestly say that they excel in every department that the others have lacked in. All the benefits of the other hosts are matched and all the bad points of other hosts are rectified, and more. For example, with all my previous hosts if I was to email them with a problem (through my fault or their own) the response time would vary from around 12 hours (rarely) to three days, which is unnacceptable in any situation. With Protec, I would say the average response time is half an hour. I am ALWAYS surprised by the speed and level of support I recieve. It is also completely clear by the responses that i recieve that the staff at Protec are highly skilled and experienced, whereas with my previous hosts i was sometimes astounded by the support staff's lack of knowledge.
Without blinking, I would recommend to anyone that they give Protec a go.
The servers are also as fast, if not faster, than any of the previously mentioned hosting companies.
Protec honestly are a breath of fresh air.
