Listing Reviewed: VP-ASP Strengths: Comes with the Code for theorhetical Easy Modification Weaknesses: Bad Company support. Very dogmatic and unfriendly to deal with. Details: I purchased the product being a developer simply because I didn't want to buid a shopping cart. So you get the source. Well yeah. To make the cart look professional you really need to overhaul all the screens displayed and the Graphics. The customer registration process sucks and looks tinny. Hacker exploit announcements are a daily affair. The list goes on. I finally got it looking good but the customer registration screen still sucked. Then having to reverse engineer the code to do simple things. Then there was the constant stuffing up of the admin area and having to login again yada yada. I am a professional web developer and have resorted to writing my own now. Sure these tin pot systems are all out there a dime a dozen hiding everything from the user for easy shop building but at the end of the day the technology is outdated and still a tinpot solution. Not worth the money total rip off. Maybe $50 Aus tops. Review Based On: 12 Month(s) of usage |
