Strengths: Demo looks ok
Weaknesses: Expensive, must purchase to view the code, long checkout
Details: I was reviewing several carts for my retail store and came to Aspin, this great asp portal. The main problem with productcart is that it does not offer a downloadable version-demo. You have to pay first and everybody knows that certain asp script may run well in custom servers and not in general shared hosting servers. The other thing is that the checkout concept in the demo is very old, you have 7 steps from cart to finish. The other thing is the price, $695 basic version, $1495 complete one, plus certain addons $395... They seem prices of 1990.

The price is actually extremely low considering the software you buy will be the foundation upon which you will build your e-commerce business. We provide great software, and back it up with outstanding technical support. Quality certainly comes at a price. But the price you end up paying in lost sales and wasted opportunities when you build your e-commerce store on a shaky foundation can be considerably higher.
