Suits my needs Written by Anonymous User (#1812-233) from India (Saturday, April 12, 2003)

Strengths: Threaded, light, neat customisable design, easy navigation Weaknesses: none Details: I've seen several message boards, and this one suits my needs. Review Based On: 1 Hour(s) of usage |
It's not pretty Written by Anonymous User (#1395-115) from Apsley, ON - CANADA (Monday, February 10, 2003)
 |
Strengths: Simple Weaknesses: No set-up instructions, not visually appealing Details: There were no set-up instructions (though it was simple to figure out after looking at the demo). Also, it wasn't at all visually appealing - BUT it was simple and to the point. If you want simple, you'll love it. If you want pretty, you won't. Review Based On: using demo only |
Threaded BBS and an ugly one at that Written by Anonymous User (#1718-235) from N (Wednesday, October 23, 2002)
 |
Strengths: no comment Weaknesses: no comment Details: I dislike threaded Bulletin Board Services. Some people seem to like it and I suppose they might enjoy this but to me looks like a mess of random messages. Don't like them, won't use them. Review Based On: using demo only |
Solid, efficient, and best of all, free! Written by Anonymous User (#1780-287) from Brooklyn (Tuesday, June 11, 2002)

Strengths: no comment Weaknesses: no comment Details: I searched far and wide and have found none better. The setup is amazingly efficient and easy to customize, even for for newest newbie. The script has a "running commentary" that helps in determining exactly where you are in the code. For the newbie, this takes the 'overwhelmed' factor out of the equation. Add a few HTML tags and this board quickly becomes as unique as you want. Easy to run and maintain; and it's FAST. Advanced programmers will appreciate the efficiency of it's simplicity; it's just a clever board that offers a look that you just can't find ANYWHERE. (Well, considering the customization, how it looks just happens to be up to you.) |
A users perspective Written by Anonymous User (#1521-47) from Cleveland, OH (Saturday, January 05, 2002)
 |
Strengths: no comment Weaknesses: no comment Details: I have no idea how to run a board, but this board is always up, busy as hell and virtually spam free. There are a lot of different boards available for my interests, and this is the one that loads fast and is easiest to post on. After using this board, every other board seems slow and awkward. From a users perspective, it's the best thing going! |
Like Matt's board but BETTER - and it works! Written by Anonymous User (#1607-231) from Manchester, England (Sunday, December 16, 2001)
 |
Strengths: no comment Weaknesses: no comment Details: It is a simple board from a user perspective - which so many aren't these days. Most setup changes are made via the code, but this is so well commented even I succeeded! I like the date filtering tool. Yeah, its just easy and it works - that's it! |
This board is a Gas! Written by Anonymous User (#1538-154) from Manitou Sps, Colorado (Thursday, August 23, 2001)
 |
Strengths: no comment Weaknesses: no comment Details: If you looking for a fast loading, customizable board with an easy to use admin, this is the board for you! I have used a few of the boards noted on Aspin's list and ran into different problems. That in turn lead to the development of the Burton Board (yes, I know the guy who built it). My board averages one million page views a quarter and it handles the traffic with no problems. I do suggest you check it out, heck, you can't beat the price! |
