Least deserving of best in Galaxy

Strengths: It did not crash
Weaknesses: Slow and useless
Details: This program was a complete disappointment and was a huge let down after reading some of the other reviews. It does support color syntax highlighting but does not let you choose the colors. Personally, I think the point of code expansion is to save you some keystrokes but this program places so much junk after the insert that you end up typing more. It even goes as far as using paranthesis for simple method calls but does not place the Call keyword in front. It also does not correct syntax case correction, but that was a not a big surprise considering everything else. Did I also mention that it was very slow?
Just say NO to this editor.

No real syntax highlighting or code-completion

Weaknesses: Syntax highlighting, code-completion, no project feel
Details: For a program saying it is the best editor in the galaxy I would expect more. It is a quite ordinary editor with some nice text conversion features.
Syntax highlighting does not highlight asp code.
Code completion is only based on some predefined dictionary - it will not code complete your own function names or variable names. It has not got any overview of functions or variables or any thing I would expect from the best asp editor in the galaxy.

Details: I'm so glad I stuck with this app - in the beginning, it was good, but not totally polished. Now, with the latest version, the newest features that have been added make it unbeatable.
I can't imaging going to any other text editor now.

Details: It's not the VB IDE but it has functionality that IDev doesn't - it's SQL builder is easier to use than the Date environment, for instance.
A couple of things are counter-intuitive, but time and time again, what I wanted, had been provided. The product is supported and updated regularly and already contains sections on ASP+ and XML.
You can either download a fully functioning version that will let you try it for 25 days, I paid my money ($89.00) after two hours. |

Details: Found this to be the easiest, fastest and most straight forward program to use. It greatly increased my productivity. When I e-mailed questions, they got back to me within a couple of hours. Great program great support. I tried several other ASP editors, but found them too confusing and busy. This did the trick. |

Details: I liked it a lot but it did have an annoying habit of loosing the mouse pointer. After some experimenting I found that it was restored by CTL-TAB to flip to another app and back. I'm pretty sure it was not my desktop setup.
It was really too bad because otherwise I really enjoyed the heck out of it. It's been a while since I used a platform-specific pound-the-keys code editor, and it felt pretty good :-) Kinda like going home.
So, overall I think that the 4 Stars are deserved.
From a functionality standpoint its pretty good but neither is it Drumbeat. But then its half the price too :-)
Did I buy it? Not yet... still a couple of other to check out. |

Details: I've use this program for a long time. It's so easy to use, and to create ASP objects (not all objects !!). But I enjoyed this program. If you have a good programming skills, this program is for U. Thanks to August Wind... :)
