Like an apple full of worms

Details: Websamba was one host I really wanted to like. With their claims of free email accounts, free ODBC system DSN setup, and a fairly simple URL, they seemed like the perfect host.
But like that apple full of worms, things are not always as they seem. The only good thing about WebSamba is the FTP access. Other than that, they're no good. They're down a lot, have no support of even simple commands (Response.Redirect anyone?), and in order to get my database working I actually had to guess at the provider and induce an error message to get the physical location of my db (email me at lordofhatt@home.com if you want this info). Of course, just now working on my site, the db provider dies.
In short, stay away. Stay far away. |

Details: It looks like I've become the next victim of WebSamba. I have not been able to access it via FTP for some time now, and my URL keeps returning a 404 page. Nor does your password retrieval page recognize my email address. I realize that the terms of service mentions that my account may be removed at any time for any reason, but I do not feel that my content has even remotely violated any of the points in #4 of your TOS.
I was impressed with your service up until the moment that I was left in the cold, without notice and access to support (besides a webmaster address?).
I have read quite a few online reviews of WebSamba, and several mentioned this type of scenario. I decided to try WebSamba because I believe in giving the benefit of the doubt. However, I must say that stating *3* times on your TOS that you reserve the right to cancel service with no reason is a cause for concern regarding the real purpose of your Internet presence.
If you are going to revoke a service without warning or reason (which is considered unethical in almost all business arenas, INCLUDING web hosting providers - even free ones), you might as well add a note in your welcome email that states, "Thank you for joining WebSamba, although you probably won't be with us tomorrow."

Details: I have my site since 6 month ago. And since the first days of november only can view "file not found!"
The ftp login is down, and never response the emails

Details: When i use this hosts about 1 week, then i go to visit my site......it is file not found! Then i try to use ftp to login... it say login name not found!!!
That mean websamba have cut my account!!! i have send email to them, but get nothing....what are they doing?
Luckily...i have backup my database file!!
Also this site is very very slow.....

Details: When I signup an account I was able to logon via ftp but not upload any files. Just a simple file (13k)takes more than 15 minutes to upload up to 65% when it finally stops. This happens every time. I find this service pretty useless. |

Details: My site was working fine at my pc
but when I published at websamba problems show up
counter count 1 or 2 times a week and Global.asa is
never executed.........
WebSamba is just for Db storage |
