Details: I would like to rescind the following from my previous review. "I sent an e-mail request an upgrade to the version available at my 1 year mark, but it was never replied to. I did however get a second e-mail stating I could purchase an upgrade."
The company responded within minutes and permitted me to upgrade to the current version. EXCELLENT CUSTOMER COMMUNICATION ON COMPLAINTS! My previous response to my e-mail was trapped in a junk e-mail folder so I never saw it. This is truly a fine company to do business with.

Unbelivable!

Strengths: Customizable, versatile, CHEAP, featurerich.
Weaknesses: Still lacks som formatting abillities, a bit tricky to install.
Details: This product performs really well. Installation was sort of a hastle, mostly because of me, but also because of som tricky and undescriptive errormessages. However, the product is really cool, lacking only a few formating and question options. But there seems to be a steady stream of updates, so in my mind there's only one last thing to say, buy buy buy :-)

Excellent product and support

Strengths: Well thought-out, nicley coded
Weaknesses: Lack of formal MySQL support
Details: This app works as-advertised and is very feature-rich. For a number of reasons, MySQL is the database of choice for me which, unfortunately, is not formally supported. -I consider myself a seasoned classic ASP developer so I bought the app and took a stab at porting it myself and was pleasantly surprised that it was quite easy. I did have a couple very small issues in this *unsupported* endeavor - most of which I handled myself. The app is very well coded and nicely commented which made low-level changes much easier. One issue did arise and - upon contacting support by submitting a ticket - got a reply within just a couple workday hours pointing me in the right direction to correct the problem myself. In short: It's a great app supported by good programmers. Would highly recommend. -KF

Details: This is simply an excellent application. It is easy to use, reliable, easily integrated into one's website schema, and the support is first-class. At its price point, it is easily the best of all that I've considered and better than ones costing 3-5 times its price. After more than 19 months of use, I've had zero problems and their support has responded to every question I've submitted in an hour or less. This may be the best purchase of website support software I've made since 1995. If you have a need to deploy a survey on your website, I'd be astounded if this application failed to meet your requirements.

Details: After rolling out to on our site, we have found that we get great results that are easy to tabulate using the reports provisioned. We needed support on one issue. With a simple email, we got a solution within one hour. Great support, great flexibility! Top Gun!

Strengths: In-house hosting, ability to customize
Weaknesses: Can't fairly comment
Details: We stumbled upon SelectSurvey while looking for a CAWI system that we could host in-house. The price seemed a bit too good to be true, but the features listed seemed worth trying it out.
My team and I are/were Voxco, SawTooth, (among other CATI/CAWI systems) users, and were a bit used to using 'state of the art' data collection software, and were thus contacting SelectSurvey customer support quite a lot. Customer service has been EXCELLENT, and we were given all of the necessary direction to be able to customize the software as per our needs.
This is a pretty solid system, the branching is easy to use and configure, and the asp code is easy to follow and modify.
It's a bit more work getting the data ready for analysis, (depending upon the question type), but it's also not $10,000+ to purchase, it's definitely worth the extra time.
We are all glad that we chose SelectSurvey, great product, great support.

Details: We're using Select Survey ASP to collect data from every student, parent, teacher and school employee on a multi-state scale.
It took us less than one day to install the software, build the surveys and begin collecting data.
This software rocks.

Strengths: easy to use, complete, inexpensive, friendly support
Weaknesses: have to host it myself
Details: We use SelectSurvey almost every day — not only for client surveys but also for workflow processes inside our company. I have found it useful for gathering all kinds of information. The surveys are easy to create. I am not a technical person and I learned to use it without the need for a tutorial or manual. Things just seem to make sense. My main considerations were usability, price and features. SelectSurvey won hands down. I am happy with my choice and have no problems recommending it to anyone who asks.
