Strengths: Easy to use. Has everything I need to keep track of stats for myself and advertisers.
Weaknesses: None
Details: Service was great and very timely. Had banner system up within 24hrs of purchasing with no problems. Program is very user friendly. Constantly updating software which is beneficial. Have tried other banner systems and the support was poor. Can find many of answers to questions on forum. Would definitely work with Chris again in the future!

Strengths: Simple to use and great support.
Weaknesses: Desirable: A copy banner function to originate same ad in new zone.
Details: The very quick response time and advice from Chris is excellent. We are at opposite ends of the 'pond' (atlantic) but have never suffered from any time zone lag. It's great! The simple but effective control panel.
Desirables: At times I have a need for the same banner in different zones and sometimes pointing to different url's. It would be helpful if a banner ad and it's settings could be copied and then modified before use. A banner having the same attributes except for say just a new zone or URL needs a complete set-up.
A link from the control panel to a User Manual would also be useful to double check out some of the finer points, eg banner weighting.

Poor coding standards

Weaknesses: poor coding standards, no stored procedures for SQL
Details: Right off the installation there were problems with the code. Minor modifications had to be made in order for it to work. You cannot install in a different directory (major security issues here). Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere

 | Rebuttal From Listing Owner: ASPBanner was designed with two things in mind. ( Performance and Simplicity )
Banner cycling information is stored in Application Variables. This highly reduces redundant database queries and keeps system performance high. Handling the banner rotation logic in memory makes this one of the fastest ASP based Banner Rotation Solutions on the market.
Because of the way this works Stored Procedures for the SQL database would honestly add no real performance benefits as calls to the database are minimal and what it does ask of the database are very simple queries. Stored Procedures are meant to speed up more complex operations and in this case there really are none.
As for the other comments.
There isn't enough room to respond here, but the points this person noted are easily defended. |

Details: I have looked at alot of Banner systems. When I saw this I thought is was too good to be true. what? I dont have to spend $800, and I can get multiple site licenses! The system is very easy to install, one line of code to change and you're up and runnin'. Chris from CJWsoft was very helpful. He wrote me back everytime within minutes!

Details: I have been looking for sometime now for a banner rotation program that was simple to incorporate into our site, not too costly, and with great tech support, and I have too say that the ASP Banner product more than exceeds all of those qualfications!!!
What surprised me the most was how simple the program was to incorporate into my site, and though I had a few troubles (which were my fault), the tech support was AMAZING!!!!
You can't go wrong with the program, especially if you plan to have a variety of clients. Oh and no, I do not work for them, I am just a very satisfied customer!!!

Details: Talk about powerful! Yet simple to install and use. In less than 10 mins, I had ASP Banner up in running, the Administration GUI is Intuitive and straight forward to use. I love it!
Plus, amazing support and the one e-mail I sent to Mr. Williams, was responded to the same day. I highly recommed this web application. |

Details: Since first installing it I have migrated the database to SQL server and will have soon have thousands of banners spinning daily through my site. Chris continues to impressed me with his conscientious responses for both support and general consultation. Quality of support is a key factor in making software purchases. For ASPBanner, the support alone sells the product. |

Details: Well, installation was a breeze and this is serving about 500,000 ads every 24 hours on our website without a problem. As a matter of fact when we changed to this banner software from what we were using a lot of load was lifted from our server. Both processor and memory wise. We have been using this for about two weeks now. We made a few customizations to the software to change a few minor things and editing the source code was very easy. Good job Chris and thanks for the quick support with those questions we had. We will be looking forward to the new mySQL and Linux versions as we run those platforms as well. |
