It does the job!

Strengths: Easy to install and use
Weaknesses: Does not seem to have been developed any further.
Details: Have used the product since 2002/3 to send mailings of 8000+ emails, which it handles without any problem.
Have only recently purchased the Bounce Reader (a separate module). This needed some tweaking for it to recognise "bounces" and it appears to be working effectively now.
I do not like the user interface, as it is a bit "clunky", and irritating.
It definitely needs modernising, but it does the job.

Strengths: I like the way it stores my previous newsletters, is easy to create them using the WYSIWYG, etc.
Weaknesses: Nothing I found so far.
Details: I have been using this application for a couple (+) years now and have sent out numerous bulk emails. I typically send out about 5,000+ per emailing. And it handles it fine.

Details: There are basically no instructions that come with the program. And trying to figure out how to use it - is very difficult. Scheduling the broadcasts seems to be easy, but it is too easy & does not work

Great addition to any web site

Details: I have used other mailing list programs but nothing compares to Spd E-Letter.
Developer support is first class.
The On-line Spd E-Letter demo is a great evaluation tool.
I imported over 1550 Email addresses to a mailing list without a problem.
This program has the ability to send Text and/or HTML emails. The interface for sending HTML email is nicely designed and easy to use providing for hyperlinks and font formatting.
I especially like the broadcast mailing interface that gives the user a graphical representation of the mailing progress. It provides an estimated completion time of the broadcast and approximate number of emails sent per second.

Details: Having only just installed the system I have already found it, by far, the easiest software to install. All SQL scripts are set up for you at the start and the software is just so easy to use. I always use the "Never read the manual" benchmark for software and I have to say I did not even bother looking for it.
Sent over 1000 emails under 2 minutes and so many options you really would expect to pay 3 times this - but don't get any ideas! There might be more expensive options out there, but really you don't need them. Can't testify to its ability to post to tens of thousands of emails, but the "batch" system which prevents server timeouts should deal with this issue for as many emails as you can throw at it.
Really good piece of software, look no further even if you only have 100 members you can't be without this.

Strengths: Great tech support. Easy for users to subscribe/unsubscribe. Prorgam can handle bounced emails.
Weaknesses: Have not found any.
Details: Excellent program with equal support. Have tried a cgi-based newsletter program, and found it to lack many features found in Spd-E...and the other costs 3 times as much.
With the Bounce add-on, Spd-E is a complete system. Bounce handles all bad emails automatically.
We've been sending to one group that contains almost 8,000 subscribers, and they go off without a problem.
Tracks user click-thrus, url clicks, etc. Handles subscribe and unsubscribe automatically with single or double opt-in/opt-out. Imports and exports your subscribers easily. Can maintain multiple different lists. What more can I say. Well worth it.
