Details: We had been using a Perl-based BB for way too long. We always wished there was a high-performance ASP solution, but never found one that meet our needs. ToastForums 1.5 is a beautiful solution, especially when we could easily integrate with existing SQL databases.

Details: I'm using Toast on 2 websites right now, with plans to expand it to 3, perhaps 4. This message forum is the most reliable, easily customizable that I've found. Skinning the board is very easy, and setup takes less than 5 minutes. It's also very customizable in the backend. One site already has an existing database and member login, and the message board goes behind the login. I was able to import the Toast database tables into my existing database, disable registration and login on the Toast boards themselves, and set it so that when members logged into the site, they were automatically logged into the Toast board. Two thumbs up! Can't wait for 2.0, from what Josh has been hinting at, it's going to make 1.5 look like an old BBS. |
