Details: Why is this forum such a good thing? It is in my opinion just another UBB clone. That`s not the biggest problem. The functions in the forum are not organised, the coding itself seems not to be structured at all, and the functions and subs are most of the time doubled in the site, sometimes one functionality comes back more as three times in the whole program! With the same functionality, that is. That is _bad_ programming.
The layout is not very ajustable. All the Snitz` look like the others. Boring..
I say: make your own forum, with only the functionallity you need, nothing more, nothing less. That`s what I do :) |

Details: The ASP-Dev base is a non-issue. The software bears little, if any relation to the ASP-Dev. Besides ASP-Dev was way weak and the programmer never did a thing to correct the many bugs the software had. It was about time that somebody took them to school. Snitz were the ones that did it, and they did it well. |

Details: This is really an awesome application. Together with the mods that are developed by enthousiastic users it is becoming one the best freeware products (look at Huwr modified forum, www.magicmushroom.org.uk, totally Snitz with lots of mods). |

Details: This Forum is the best of the best. First I was using a free forum from eMessage. They had a good forum, but the shutdown. After suching the net i found snitz forum. Well no forumservice from a site for my. I going snitz all the way!!! |

Details: I set up the snitz forum on my sever in less than 2 hours. I upgraded to a modified forum the next day. My snitz forum uses a sql 2000 database and is hosted on an NT server.

Details: This is one of the best BBS packages out, even when you consider pay software and other languages. The fact that it's ASP and free makes it all the better. The support is outstanding and the ability to customize it to your needs or features is unlimited. A simple visit to the support BBS and any mods you will need are there along with help on any problems you may encounter. The only thing that prevents me from giving this 5 stars is the fact that Snitz forums was created from ASP-Dev and yet they still copyright it as their own with some restrictions on it's use and what may or may not be modified. I feel that any software that was created from a public domain software such as ASP-Dev should not be able to have any restrictions imposed on it's use no matter how many changes were made to it. The included GPL is questionable given the software's roots. If you can overlook this fact and live with the restrictions then this is the best Forums software out, be it ASP, CGI, etc. Use your own judgement on the GPL and consider the roots of this software when considering the validness of it's licensing. As I write this, version 3.3.03 is the latest version available. |

Details: I am giving this 5 Stars because it is one of the best boards I have ever seen and it is free. I had spent about a week writing a DB/ASP driven UBB style board, and if I had continued and finished, it would have been nowhere as good as this board. It is exactly what I wanted, free, and very easy to set up. This is quality programming. |
