| | | Not an ActiveX control or Java applet. It is an HTML-generating ASP component that provides a Web-based read/write interface to an arbitrary ODBC database table. Now enables users to edit multiple records at once. Also added pop-up calendars, and more. Code: VBScript |

This product sucks Written by Anonymous User (#1595-240) from Australia (Wednesday, September 19, 2007)

Strengths: easy to set up Weaknesses: sorting is a major flaw Details: Set up an employees table and add department as a foreign key. Then add dept id and name to the table. Use AttachForeignTable to store the id and show the name. View the page and try sorting on department name and you will find that it sorts on the dept id. Review Based On: 1 Month(s) of usage |
ASPGrid - flexible, excellent Written by Sean Clifford from Natchitoches, LA (Friday, September 17, 2004) Writer is with: http://www.aspslave.com/

Strengths: Quite flexible once you learn the properties and methods and experiment with it for a while. Weaknesses: Documentation can use more examples. Details: I've used it for years sucessfully with a variety of applications. It's quick, easy to use, and you can make it look great. Easy to customize, especially if you call Grid.Display(False) or Grid.BuildForm and access the Blocks directly. Review Based On: 36 Month(s) of usage |

Strengths: no comment Weaknesses: no comment Details: Very Great Component but i have a lot of difficulties to use it with Visual Interdev and the Design Time Control.
I can't find any information (and any solutions) for this issues except cooking Asp code with very personnal session control :( |
Not that great Written by Anonymous User (#1856-241) from Cleveland, OH (Thursday, August 16, 2001)

Strengths: no comment Weaknesses: no comment Details: I found the control easy to setup and use, however I found some obvious issues with it. For one, I had errors with numeric fields in Oracle, just didn't work for some reason. To get around it I made the fields VarChar - cheesy, I know, but good enough for eval purposes. Also the delete function returned an error... even on the included sample program. When I tried to contact tech support they were clueless in helping. Your pretty much on your own with this one! |
Absolutely the BEST! Written by Anonymous User (#1608-124) from Annapolis, Md. (Friday, September 29, 2000)

Strengths: no comment Weaknesses: no comment Details: This component is one of the best components I've had the pleasure to work with. The only somewhat complaint I have is not enough working examples provided by the company and you have to hunt and peck around to figure it all out. Other then that, this component is very powerful and once you've mastered it's properties/methods I'm sure it will be even better. |
