Strengths: Clean Code, Standards Compliant, CSS Styling / Formatting, Mac Compatiable Weaknesses: Can be difficult for first time users, takes some getting used to Details: xStandard is one of those little apps that you never knew you needed until you used it. Easy to integrate in CMS's, complete control over the code with clean XML output and brilliant CSS support (upto CSS 3 in the latest version). Syntax highlighting is a godsend as are the image upload options (integrated with the cms) and tagging capabilties. You can even insert often used pieces of code from different documents (think like an SSI). Very impressed especially with the Mac beta (feb 2007), should be totally mac compatiable within the next few months. Review Based On: 22 Month(s) of usage |
