Not half bad for nothing ! Written by Anonymous User (#1593-168) from Sutton, UK (Wednesday, February 28, 2001)
 |
Strengths: no comment Weaknesses: no comment Details: I signed up for the account and within a day, I was up and running. 30MB with no banners is very generous, but I have to say, accessing the pages can be quite slow at times. This is usually down to people with bad ASP code slowing the server down, but generally, a very good site.
Online file manager is very good too !! |
The best free host Written by Anonymous User (#1463-153) from India (Saturday, February 10, 2001)

Strengths: no comment Weaknesses: no comment Details: Untill now, this is the best free host with ASP with access database support but could be the no. 1 if it supports free mail and frontpage.

Great service... all for FREE! Written by Anonymous User (#1414-229) from Phoenix (Friday, February 02, 2001)
 |
Strengths: no comment Weaknesses: no comment Details: I think brinkster offers alot for free. Sometimes it's slow but I am not going to complain since I don't pay anything. Who knows, I might even upgrade so I get FTP for 10 bucks a month. |
Fast though error and error... Written by Anonymous User (#1700-271) from Bangkok, Thailand (Wednesday, January 31, 2001)
 |
Strengths: no comment Weaknesses: no comment Details: Basically on a GOOD DAY this is a good service. Unfortunately on a BAD DAY it keeps on displaying "The page cannot be displayed" error. It takes me ages to open a selected file or directory. Even logging in can take several minutes. |
Thanks for terminating my account... Written by Anonymous User (#1768-304) from Liverpool, United Kingdom (Tuesday, January 23, 2001)
 |
Strengths: no comment Weaknesses: no comment Details: Yes, Brinkster offers free ASP hosting support without banners, Great! but after 2 weeks of me owning my account, it was terminated without any notice or reason why. I have read thier terms and conditions again and have not come to any conclusion into why they decided to.
I personally would avoid this one, as it took me ages to upload my entire site using thier poxy file upload manager, since there is no ftp access for general users. |
Very Bad. Written by Anonymous User (#1130-163) from Maryland, MD (Sunday, January 21, 2001)
 |
Strengths: no comment Weaknesses: no comment Details: They did not get the server to interpret the asp scripts properly. When you create directory under your root directory and put files with extension "asp" the server could not interpret it. The server only understands extension "asp" at the root. Their script engine is also behind too. They are running at version 5.1 instead of 5.5. |
Man!!!! That FileManager.asp!!! Written by Anonymous User (#1294-37) from livingorb.com (Saturday, January 20, 2001)
 |
Strengths: no comment Weaknesses: no comment Details: I don't have a problem with the constant server hangups, caused by bad programmers(looping and not closing). Nor, do I have a problem with the little file manager.asp that takes forever to manage my files (Very good for connecting when I'm not at home). I do however, have a problem with NO FTP connection! Let your little file manager be a remote way to work on my files, not the only way...... |
Excellent site, and user friendly Written by Anonymous User (#1823-281) from UK (Friday, January 19, 2001)

Strengths: no comment Weaknesses: no comment Details: Very reliable, and the forums are also excellent. There are many useful articles to help beginners. It is well worth paying for the services on offer at such low prices.

Strengths: no comment Weaknesses: no comment Details: Considering I just wanted to try my code and the other sites require me to wait 72hr to 2 weeks, I think this one is the best. Eventhough there's no FTP access, the online file manager seems to
be fast and reliable. No problem so far. |
