Details: Brinkster have many good points - they're fairly fast & high level of support for a free server. But *DON'T* use this host if you want to make a site in Frontpage - it seems to do everything possible to hunt down every FP user and expunge them - even to the extent of disabling global.asa...... |

Details: Nothing on this site works the first time. You always have to reload or go back or something. The forms don't work and you have to try and upload about 5 or 6 times before it will actually work. Plus you can only upload 5 files at a time. And half the time it WONT WORK. Save yourself some time and don't even look into this. |

Details: I have been using brinksters free service for awhile and I think it is realy good. Not much down time and no ugly banner ads. Once I get more money I am going to get a domain name and upgrade for only 10 bucks a month! Thanks brinkster for providing such a great service! |

Details: Unlike all other "FREE" sites, brinkster has nearly no difference between the pay & free schemes. Only lack of true-FTP and global.asa ! Who needs these two anyway (FTP-loss is compensated by a quite powerful and flexible filemanager that would give most FTP clients a run for their money !).

Details: I signed up for the account and within a day, I was up and running. 30MB with no banners is very generous, but I have to say, accessing the pages can be quite slow at times. This is usually down to people with bad ASP code slowing the server down, but generally, a very good site.
Online file manager is very good too !! |
