we can create a java class to authenticate a set of given credentials against ldap, and register that java class as a COM component and access its methods from an asp. Code: ASP 3.0 & VBScript

Strengths:   very simple method to authenticate users against netscape ldap  
Weaknesses:   no comment  
Details:   i was looking for netscape ldap authentication code to use in my asp, i could not find any component that is free to use for just authenticating users. this code does exactly what i am looking for and it is easy and free thanks to pavan nanduri
