Synopsis
 In this latest Lab Review, we put UltraApps.com’s IssueManager to the test. This web-based application dubs itself a solution for tracking those pesky little software issues and bugs, as well as tracking project tasks. In addition to being a snap to install, IssueManager has the expected features for an application of this breed and also sports an ‘Export to Excel’ feature that will have report-happy project managers smiling. The user interface, while pleasant to the eyes and easy to work with, could use some mass-task management functionality. In addition, we would have loved to see a ‘guest account’ feature included. From a technical support side, their helpful documentation and exceptional email support was impressive. The application’s security was excellent too, however we were a bit concerned about the lack of password encryption in the database,. Overall through, we think this is a solid application. This is one app that will likely be around the community for the foreseeable future as there will always be bugs (aren’t Twinkies and bugs the only things that would survive nuclear warfare?). We just hope they share the Twinkies!
